Mike Bush – Risk ManagerIMG_0832-mike-bushc

Tell me about how you started working with National Risk Management Services?
I was looking for an opportunity to be an entrepreneur in an entrepreneurial company and a common friend connected Tom Lucci and me. I have been at the NRMS for over two years working in a sales role, building my book of business primarily in OH and PA.

What sort of roles have you had in the company?
My focus is sales – find new clients in need of our support, deliver them a risk management solution specific to their operation and provide them with a high level of on-going service.

I also manage our social media program including web-site, monthly email newsletters and Twitter / Facebook presence. I am proud to say that our subscriber base for your newsletter has gone from 0 to over 8,000 recipients in two years!

How would you describe National Risk Management Services?
Highly professional, organized, experienced and knowledgeable team with an unwavering dedication to providing our clients with a true risk management partnership. Try to repeat that three times fast.

What is your favorite story centered on working with one of our clients?
I have more than a few stories, but I will keep it general to a scenario that has repeated itself … delivering a unique risk management solution to a client that is in need of help. More specifically, helping to ease someone’s pain by addressing a coverage gap, providing an improved insurance program and/or a safety services program that no one else could offer.
Ok, one more story, getting smoked by one of my clients after bike riding 20+ miles in the beautiful countryside.

What do you like most about the trucking industry?
The people. Truckers are some of the hardest working, most down to earth people I have ever met. While they are rarely given the credit they deserve for keeping our economy moving, they keep at it every day.

What do you do when you are not working?
I have two boys under 4 years old, so that pretty much consumes every minute. When I can squeeze it in, I like to stay active running or working out and subject myself to the yearly punishment known as Cleveland professional sports.

Oh yeah, I am also pursuing my CPCU insurance designation; my next test is just around the corner, so wish me luck.
